Insurance & Fees

Initial Phone Consultation (10-20 minutes): Free

For clients using insurance, your insurance company will be billed directly. You will be responsible for the copay and/or deductible indicated in your plan. See below for tips on using your insurance if you are unsure about your coverage.

For clients interested in self-pay (not using insurance), please contact me to discuss payment.

Cash, Check, and Credit Cards are accepted for payment at the time of our session.

Most sessions are scheduled for 45 minutes. Morning, afternoon, and early evening hours are available on weekdays.



There is no charge for cancellations or requests to reschedule made 24 hours in advance of your scheduled session. If you cancel or reschedule late, or do not attend a session, you will be responsible for the full fee for that session. Your insurance will not cover missed sessions. In order to respect every clients time, sessions will end on time even if you arrive late.


Using Your Insurance

I am an in-network provider for the following:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Midland’s Choice
  • United
  • Aetna
  • Cigna
  • Magellan
  • Medicaid
  • Medicare
  • Great West

If you have a different insurance carrier, your plan may cover out-of-network providers for a portion of the fee. In that case, I am happy to provide you with a statement that you can send in to your insurance provider for reimbursement after each session. You will be responsible for paying the full fee at each session.

It is important to know that most insurance companies require that I share a clinical diagnosis with them. Additionally, they may ask that I share treatment plans or summaries while they determine whether to cover continued sessions. This information will become part of the insurance company files. In some cases, they may share your personal information with a national medical information databank. Please remember that you always have the right to pay for my services yourself to further protect the confidentiality of your treatment.

Please call your insurance company to find out about your coverage. A few questions to ask are:

  • What mental health services are covered under my plan?
  • How many sessions am I allowed or how much coverage is available to me?
  • Does my plan cover out-of-network providers?
  • What percentage of the fee will be covered?
